Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StoryHush mobile application ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Who can use StoryHush

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a subscription. StoryHush is designed for parents to use with their children under supervision. By using the App, you confirm that:

You are the parent or legal guardian of any child using the App
You have authority to accept these Terms on behalf of your household
You will supervise your child's use of the App

2. Subscriptions

StoryHush offers three subscription tiers: Lite, Pro, and Premium. Each is available on weekly or yearly billing.

Free trial: Weekly plans include a 3-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial.
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal.
Cancellation: Cancel anytime through iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Billing: All charges are processed by Apple. We do not store your payment information.

3. Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not process refunds directly.

4. What you get with your subscription

Lite: 1 child profile, unlimited AI stories, save to library
Pro: Up to 4 child profiles, unlimited stories, read-aloud voice, priority generation
Premium: Up to 6 child profiles, unlimited stories, warm human-quality voice, story audio downloads, priority support

5. Content generated by AI

Stories are generated using artificial intelligence based on the preferences you provide. While we tune the AI to produce warm, age-appropriate content, we cannot guarantee the exact tone or narrative of any individual story. If a generated story doesn't fit your family, tap "New" to generate a fresh one.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any illegal or harmful purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
Share your subscription with people outside your household
Use the AI story generation to produce content violating our content policies (violent, sexual, harmful content targeting children)

7. Ownership

Stories generated for your child are yours to keep, save, and share personally. StoryHush retains ownership of the App, its features, design, and underlying technology.

8. Disclaimers

StoryHush is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that the App will meet all your specific expectations. Use of the App is at your own discretion.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoryHush is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Significant changes will be communicated via the App before taking effect. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using StoryHush at any time by canceling your subscription and deleting the App. We may terminate access if you materially violate these Terms.
